Supatret gel consists of Trerinoin. Tretinoin is retinoic acid in pharmaceutical form. One of several retinoids, it is the acid form of vitamin A and is also known as all-trans retinoic acid or ATRA.
Before using Supatret gel medication you need to read the information leaflet thoroughly and if any questions you need to ask to your doctor or your pharmacists. If you are allergic to Tretinoin then you should make the doctor aware before he prescribes you this medication. Supatret gel medication should not be taken during pregnancy or if you are about to be pregnant. Supatret gel medication will cause irritation on skin if used with peeling agents, irritant products. While using Supatret gel medication you should apply it to affected area, you should not apply inside your nose or mouth. If in case it goes in your eyes wash your eyes with plenty of water so that your eyes are not affected.
Before applying Supatret gel medication you should clean up your face with mild soap or soap free cleanser. After cleaning up the face let the face dry or pat dry it. After the face dries up take a small amount of cream or gel on your finger but the finger should be cleaned before applying the gel. Apply the cream or gel on the affected skin twice a day. Take care that you apply the cream or gel on the affected areas only as it will lead to side effects if applied to non affected areas. Do apply small amount of cream or gel so as it will cure properly the affected skin don’t apply large amount of cream or gel on your skin not going to cure faster in fact it will lead to side effects like irritation and burning of the skin, it may also lead into redness of skin. While you are applying Supatret gel medication you need to be away from cosmetics. You should not use oil based make up when you are having Supatret gel. There should be no exposure to direct sunlight while using Supatret gel medication. Effects reduce with continuous use of the medication. For first seven to eight days acne will get worse but, keep the medication going on as it will show effect after three to four weeks.
