Permethrin used is an approximate 1:3 mixture of the cis and trans isomers of the pyrethroid 3-(2, 2-dichloroethenyl)-2, 2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid, (3-phenoxyphenyl) methyl ester. Permethrin has a molecular formula of C21H20CI2O3 and a molecular weight of 391.29 and is a yellow to light orange-brown, low melting solid or viscous liquid.

Let the doctor or the pharmacist know about the allergies you are suffering from or if you are allergic to Permethrin. As this product contains the ingredients which are inactive and mad lead to allergic reactions or some other problems. If you are pregnant make doctor aware about it before he prescribes you Permethrin cream. You have to take special care of getting Permethrin cream into your eyes, mouth, nose and vagina. If the medication get into your eyes wash it with plenty of water so as it doesn’t cause any harm to your eyes.
Permethrin cream medication is used on the skin only. You need to start this medication as soon as possible itself when it is prescribed to you. Permethrin cream should be applied on your whole body starting from your head to the feet including sole. It should be also applied underneath your nails, in between the fold of skins, in between your toes as directed. You need to massage this cream into the skin. Do not use excess cream as it is not going to show the results earlier with using the more amount of cream or medication. After applying the cream let it be on your body for eight to fourteen hours and then wash it off by taking shower or else you have to bath.
